What is Open car transport?

Open car transport is the common way of transporting a vehicle. Your vehicle will be transported on an open car carrier, usually seen on the road delivering new and used cars.

What is enclosed auto transport?

This is transporting a car in a way that protects it from the elements. Enclosed car transport protects your car from weather, rocks, theft and other damage. Enclosed auto transport can cost more than open.

How long should enclosed auto transport take?

Here are some ideas to help you along the way:

  • East Coast to West Coast approx. 7 to 10 days
  • Midwest to East Coast approx. 5 to 7 days
  • South to the North approx. 5 to 7 days

How is a car transport supposed to work?

Enclosed auto transport is very simple. You should receive a call from anywhere from 12 to 24 hours in advance of your pick up date. The driver will arrive, review the vehicle with you before is loaded on the vehicle transport trailer. The reverse happens at the delivery point, the driver calls in advance, you’ll walk around the vehicle for damage and take delivery.

How many days in advance do I need to make arrangements for my enclosed auto transport?

It is our recommendation that you book your order at least 7 to 10 days in advance, however, if you need to move your car immediately, we will work with you on an individual basis to accommodate your auto shipping needs. We also offer next day pickup.

Can I ship my car with personal items in my vehicle on the enclosed auto transport trailer?

Enclosed car transport carriers are not licensed to carry household goods or personal items, therefore it is not recommended to leave items of that nature in your vehicle. Factory issued equipment and after market items permanently installed are allowed to be left with the vehicle and will be noted accordingly on the truck bill of landing.

Does my car have to be in working condition during enclosed auto transport?

It can by in any condition working or non-working. However we always recommend that you communicate your needs and the condition of your car when you book.

Can I ship more than one car?

Yes you can.

Do I have to be present at the pick up and delivery?

We require that either you or someone designated by you be present to go through an inspection and sign off the vehicles condition.
